I have lung cancer. Those are four words I never thought I’d utter. But here we are.
The past two and a half weeks have been a blur, but I’ll do my best to share what transpired here, and keep you updated throughout the process. Hopefully my ordeal can assist others who receive this news out of the blue, changing their lives in a split second.
I’ve decided to keep track of the entire experience here, both to document everything for myself and to share my information for all who follow me with a cancer diagnosis.
Although I don’t know what the ramifications of this disease will be, I do know it’ll be expensive, even with insurance. The Affordable Care Act, while stopping the crooksgovernment-sanctioned extortionists health insurance industry from dropping you because you get sick or to denying you insurance if you have a “pre-existing condition,” still allows these health care profiteers obscene leeway to deny benefits or services for which we pay. I know we’ll be looking at insurmountable bills in our future. So we have set up a YouCaring fundraiser.
