View on Zencastr Today, we reach back into the thick of the early days of the pandemic… March 11, 2020. Not only was it Covid time, it was the pinnacle of the 2020 presidential primaries…. In fact, this show was the day after the so-called mini-Tuesday after which Joe Biden appeared to have clinched the nomination to knock Bernie Sanders out of the race. Needless to say, not a happy day for me… But we got past that news in time for MSNBC's Lawrence O’Donnell to call in to the show after he and I had a little Twitter [...]

He was at Manning's court-martial in 2013, then went on to cover the saga of Julian Assange. His new book, GUILTY OF JOURNALISM: THE POLITICAL CASE AGAINST JULIAN ASSANGE, is just out, and documents his years-long saga, as he waits to find out if and when he'll be extradited to the US, and what the charges [...]
Download here or click below to play, (or watch the video at the bottom of the page!) Regular listeners of this program know that I'm a Bernie Sanders supporter. I have been since long before he ever decided to run for office. In fact, he used to come on my show fairly frequently. Now? Well, he came on once for a quick hit early in the 2020 campaign, but he's a tough 'get' these days. The last time I did speak with Bernie Sanders, it was because of Ari Rabin-Havt. I first *met* Ari when he worked for Media Matters. [...]
Download here or click below to play, (or watch the video at the bottom of the page!) We dodged a bullet this week, but just barely, and only temporarily. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is playing a dangerous game while accusing the Democrats of politicizing everything when he's the guy actually politicizing everything. That's what they do. It's classic projection. They engage in heinous, often illegal behaviors but accuse the Democrats of doing what they themselves are guilty of. It what I call "Opposite World". We're experiencing it happening in real time and there's seemingly nothing we can do [...]

We knew that there weren't 17 Republicans with integrity in the Senate, but that doesn't make it any easier when they put their jobs and political party ahead of the nation. But that's exactly what they did on Saturday as the second impeachment trial of Donald Trump ended with an acquittal. And as he tends to do, Trump won by losing the popular vote! The final tally was 57 for conviction, 43 against. And he wins! Opposite world indeed. Lisa Graves [...]

Download here or click below to play I had a feeling this day was coming... well, it was yesterday, actually, that Bernie Sanders ended his campaign. Logically, it was the right thing to do. Ideologically and righteously, not so much. I'm still grappling with my feelings about it, and will explain why I went ballistic on my former colleague who called in to the show yesterday, before dealing with today's news. And, of course, it's Thursday, so Howie Klein will explain why he will not vote for Joe Biden. Nothing is simple any more... I played a couple of [...]

Download here or click below to play It's a sad day at the Nicole Sandler Show. I had been hoping (not a praying person) that John Prine would pull through, but he lost his battle with the coronavirus last night, and the world is a sadder, quieter place today. And unexpectedly, Bernie Sanders today ended his quest for the Democratic nomination for the presidency. Today I'll open the phone lines so we can commiserate. And at a weird time in history as we're experiencing, we could all use a friend right now... Here's the song Randy Newman recorded [...]
Download here or click below to play It's a must-win day for Bernie Sanders as the establishment Democrats have come together in force to give the nomination to Joe Biden and keep it from Sanders. Oh, and we're all living in fear of the coronavirus too. It's Tuesday, so GottaLaff joins in to help us take our minds off of the misery, for an hour anyway...
