The United Stats of America just witnessed decades, centuries of LGBT oppression, sexuality and gender discrimination, and the lucrative political pay to play.
Wisconsin and Utah are particularly satisfying, right? Was truly startled to hear Scott Walker throw in the gym towel … “We’re done.” From Talking Points Memo:
“For us, it’s over in Wisconsin,” Walker said, according to the Associated Press. “The federal courts have ruled that this decision by this court of appeals decision is the law of the land and we will be upholding it.”
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) conceded that the state of Wisconsin lost its fight to ban same sex marriage on Monday when the Supreme Court declined to hear gay marriage cases in multiple states.
It’s also a glorious, enervating time for many. There’s plenty o’ challenging work left for future generations and the legal system need for catching up to the unusual SCOTUS Nascar Speed burst.
Now how about Gorilla Glueing ourselves to the momentum of this extraordinary wave of freedom for a large swath of gay Americans? Push on!
I just love seeing the beaming faces of the newly wed gay couples photographed last night and today … the smiles were should deep. Pure happiness. Tears were falling by Jeopardy.
