The Fast Track debate is heating up. I know this because the usual suspects are out in force! Like this bit of brilliance found on Twitter today:

When I called the Tweeter out for her stupidity (my exact words were “Then you really are an idiot”), I was once again called a racist. Not that I had any idea, nor did I care, what race @Only4RM is…

Welcome to wacky world where you’re not allowed to criticize anyone from your side of the aisle.

Elizabeth Warren explained her issues with granting Fast Track (Trade Promotion Authority) to Rachel Maddow last night. Perhaps if some of these people who are so quick to criticize took a few minutes to listen, they might learn something.

Maybe these Democrats would listen to Bernie Sanders, who stepped in yesterday to slow down the Fast Track process with this informative speech:

It’s worth a try!

My first guest today was Catherine Hiller, author of the new book, Just Say Yes: A Marijuana Memoir. It’s a coming out story, of sorts… and probably the first of its kind, as Catherine admits to having smoked weed almost daily for the past 50 years. Fascinating book, and it was a fun conversation.

And we ended the show with Howie Klein‘s return to the show after a too-long absence. Howie told us about his six-months on chemo, as he’s been battling a rare form of cancer known as Mantle Cell Lymphoma. Thankfully, the chemo is over, and he has a little breathing room before moving on to the next phase of treatment.

We talked a little bit of politics- mostly about the race to fill Marco Rubio’s senate seat and our desire to see Alan Grayson jump in to the race– and will pick up again next Thursday.

Tomorrow, Amy Ziering – producer of The Hunting Ground – will be here to finish the week on an important topic, radio or not!
