Workers who toil for slave wages at fast food restaurants around the city are staging a one-day strike to raise awareness of the conditions under which they toil. Kudos to President Obama for doing the right thing yesterday and using recess appointments to put Richard Cordray at the helm of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and get three others on the National Labor Relations Board. Neither of these agencies would be able to function without those appointments, so what he did was truly in the best interests of the nation.
