4-1-21 Nicole Sandler Show – Thursday with Howie Klein and They’ve Killed Local Media

Download here or click below to play, (or watch the video at the bottom of the page!)   It's Thursday, so Howie Klein is here. Today, we'll discuss the curious case of Floriduh man Matt Gaetz. Oh, there's lots to tell... But first, the Supreme Court this morning unanimously upheld the FCC's horrible loosening of media ownership rules. Sue Wilson of Sue Wilson Reports and the Media Action Center filed an Amicus brief in the case, and joins us at the top of the show to explain what happened and what will happen now. And yes, I started the show [...]

4-27-17 Nicole Sandler Show – Money & Media

Trump's tax "plan" (or thing, as NBC's Ali Velshi called it) would cut taxes for the rich and screw over the poor. Same GOP crap, different year. If you voted for D'ump thinking he'd drain the swamp, it serves you right -- but the rest of us don't deserve this shit. Today on Twitter, I noticed an op-ed from the Sacramento Bee from my old friend- media activist, film maker and broadcaster - Sue Wilson, about Net Neutrality. As the apprentisident's new FCC chairman Ajit Pai's priority seems to be killing Net Neutrality, I invited her on the show today [...]

She’s Gone – Crazy Bachmann Edition

As much as I would have loved to see her go down on election night, the news that Michele Bachmann will not seek a 5th term in the US House of Representatives was a welcome way to start the day.  My only regret is that the hard drive containing the last 5 years of news audio clips died last week, so I wasn't able to pull together my own fitting tribute of her craziest statements. Even her video announcing that she won't seek re-election is bizarre.  Just check out her smile and giddiness during the announcement. Even funnier are her [...]

What About Wisconsin?

Listen to this episode: {play} http://traffic.libsyn.com/radioornot/20120524_Nicole_Sandler_Show_-_What_About_Wisconsin.mp3 {/play} Podcast: Play in new window Election Day in Wisconsin is less than two weeks ago. Early voting is underway. And the Democratic Party is nowhere in sight.  The DNC issued a tepid response to the recent outcry of their lack of monetary support by stating that Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz would head to Wisconsin "by the end of the month" to hold a fundraiser.  From what I hear, they need money, not a visit from Debbie! After attempting to call the DNC offices earlier this week (I got no answer), I sent an email [...]

Just When You Think It Can’t Get Any Worse…

... Sarah Palin opens her mouth! We were wondering when she'd speak up. The woman who put herself in the "line of fire" by using gun imagery, murderous metaphors and violent rhetoric as her calling card and, by posting on her SarahPAC  and facebook pages a map with gun crosshairs over 20 Congressional districts - including Gabby Giffords', took a bad situation and made it worse with more incendiary words. I was hoping that Sarah Palin would show that she has some sense in that thick mind of hers by, when emerging from her cocoon of silence, renouncing her bad [...]
