Randi’s off to Seattle to take part in AM1090’s Progressive Forum, which means I get to fill in today. As has been the case lately, there’s no shortage of things to talk about.
Of course, we’ll bring you the latest on the debt ceiling “negotiations” and whatever other news breaks.

Richard Allen Smith is the Vice Chairman of Vote Vets. He’ll join me in the first hour with a response to Allen West’s assertion yesterday that his vile response to Debbie Wasserman-Schultz was due to his military background and the fact that he hadn’t yet learned “DC speak”!
Richard will also weigh in on some good news – the official certification of the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell is expected this afternoon! It’s about time.
We’ve got a busy third hour. Cenk Uyger will join us to talk about his exit from MSNBC and the general climate of media today.
And to start the weekend with some laughs, I’ll chat with comedian Paul Provenza, whose Showtime program “The Green Room” just kicked off it’s second season.
