The first show in our new 6-8pm ET time slot went off with a few hiccups which, I guess, is to be expected.
You can watch the video on the video page, or download the audio podcast here.
Our first guest was The Hill columnist Brent Budowsky, and we talked about everything from the election of Scott Brown in MA, the SCOTUS ruling on Thursday that gutted our democracy, the filibuster rule, the upcoming State of the Union address, health care reform and lots more. Victoria Jones checked in from the Talk Radio News Service, and Nicole talked about and played some music too.
Elko,
Thanks for being the first to post on our new site!
Nicole
Hi Nicole,
Great show.
Bret is the bomb when it comes
to analyzing the incompetency of the
Democratic Leadership.
Obama is no populist, but he could bring
in some populists to his administration
like Elizabeth Warren, then he could
reinstate the Glass-Seagal Act (that
Clinton repealed) and he can audit the Fed.
If not, it’s just all rhetoric (he seems to
be really proud of making speeches).
(btw, notice how he’s going to freeze
domestic spending to pay for his wars . . .
is this Bush-Lite or what ?? I’ll be going
to DC to support the 19-March protest)
In addition to FDR, there was LBJ who
passed Civil Rights and a War on Poverty,
even though he had to quit bc he couldn’t
reconcile himself to the Vietnam War.
I’ll send a donation after the first of the month.
Keep the faith.
