I just got back to town late last night from taking my daughter to sleep away camp. I got her settled in to her cabin, met the counselors and some of the other girls, and drove the five hours home, missing her already. Today, we've heard so much about the debt ceiling. Yes, it's high and needs to be dealt with. But you don't do it by cutting social programs for the neediest among us. We're at the beginning of a new week... The space shuttle just launched with Gaby Giffords' husband aboard, and the Sunday talk shows had an 8:1 ratio of Republicans to Democrats yesterday.
