Good lord, God may not be so perfect after all. So much for putting one’s faith into an imaginary invisible white man living in the sky who can’t even perfect his matchmaking skills, let alone preserve thee from all evil.

A Del Mar man was sentenced Friday to 37 years to life in prison for raping two women he met on the dating sites ChristianMingle.com and Match.com.

The All Powerful couldn’t even manage to ordain that this vile monster show even a little remorse for his sins. Instead, the rapist said that he “was willing to drop his appeal if one of the victims would take a polygraph test.” Nice. How respectful. What a guy.

Meantime, trusting a dating site like Christian Mingle– an organization that claims to “find God’s match for you”– and then falling prey to a sick, violent misogynist, must have been as disillusioning as it was horrifying. A website like that doesn’t inspire much faith.
