What a way to end the week! We put the ugliness of the week behind us, and moved into the weekend with good talk, good humor and great music.
John Nichols, national affairs correspondent at The Nation, co-author of the new book, People Get Ready: The Fight Against a Jobless Economy and a Citizenless Democracy and seventh-generation Wisconsinite joined me in the first hour.
Comedian and host of Redacted Tonight on RT America, Lee Camp joined in during hour two.
And we extended the show a bit today to play a Flashback Friday segment from February 1996 with Joan Baez and Dar Williams. I decided to run long and play it after reading Joan Baez’ Facebook post endorsing Bernie Sanders.
I’ve had conflicting feelings as to whether or not I should officially endorse Bernie Sanders as the Democratic nominee…

Thanks Joan!
Have a great weekend! Read some of this guy’s articles at Huffington Post. He’ll join us Monday morning, as will Joel Silberman and, hopefully, you, radio or not!

Listening to todays podcast (busy day at work). During the Talk Media News, you and Victoria were debating the new format for a the GOP primary. Personally, I don’t care who hosts – let a brit do it. If it must be american idol-format (since the program originated in the UK), I’d be good with Simon Cowell, Eric Idle and John Cleese being the judges. That said, I’d prefer a format similar to the World Greatest Game Show: “Weakest Link.” I’d like to see Anne Robinson host the whole thing and, at the end, the one with most negative votes gets told “With xxxxx negative votes, you are the Weakest Link. Goodbye” with music at the weakest link takes the famed Walk Of Shame off the set.
Sorry, just a feeble Friday afternoon/evening attempt at humor.
Have a good weekend.
