Rachel Maddow’s Thursday night show featured a look back at the Democratic presidential candidates younger selves, and it was fascinating. I honestly didn’t pay much attention to the parts about Martin O’Malley and Lincoln Chafee, but I never tire of hearing about Bernie Sanders rise through the political ranks from Mayor of Burlington VT to Congressman to Senator.

Since so many listeners reached out to thank me for playing the Rev. Dr. William Barber’s speech on Wednesday’s show, I figured today, I’d play back the interview I did with him last summer at Netroots Nation.
