Tomorrow is Media Bias Sunday! Or as I like to call it, Librul Media My Ass Sunday. Previously I kept a running tally of all things unfair, unbalanced for years via the infamous TPC Media Bias Sunday Talk scoreboard. Now the series is a regular feature at Radio Or Not.
Let’s not beat around the Jebya Bush: No matter who’s in the White House or runs Congress, the corporate media nearly always has more GOP guests appearing on Sunday talk shows than Democratic guests, many of them to the right of right. Tea party right. “Planned Parenthood ate your babies” right. As for giving real live, genuine, lefty liberals a national audience? Fugetaboutit. That rarely happens. This week, Hillary Clinton spent 11 (!) hours in front of the Benghazi!!!!! Committee. So who dominates the guest lists? Republicans. When the opposing party had their debates, who dominated the guest lists? Republicans. When a Democrat is in the White House, who are viewers more exposed to on Sunday mornings? Republicans. When there’s a GOP president, which party outnumbers the other on Sunday? Republican.
Time to take a sneak preview of what’s coming up on the Big Media Bias Sunday Talker Line-Up per the Los Angeles Times… okay? Okay.
This is not a complete list of political guests and is subject to change at the whim of the Corporate Media. I try not to include panels, because they usually include mostly Republicans, and if there are “Democrats,” they’re about as “liberal” as, well, Harold Ford.
And as you may have noticed, Fox is not included, because, well come on, what’s the point?
ABC’s “This Week” — Donald Trump (R).
CBS’ “Face the Nation” — Gov. Chris Christie (R); Rep. Devin Nunes (R); Rep. Adam Schiff (D).
CNN’s “State of the Union” — Donald Trump (R); Sen. Bernie Sanders (I, running as D); Sen. Marco Rubio (R).
NBC’s “Meet the Press” — Dr. Ben Carson (R); Rep. Trey Gowdy (R); Elijah E. Cummings (D).
It’s time to do the math:
Red Rs + Red Rs, carry the pi, divided by D, times Bias, minus even-handedness… calculating…
Total: 7 Rs, 3 Ds. Please feel free to check the addition and political affiliations.
There it is: Your librul media at work.
Yes, but you’re forgetting the entertainment value of the GOP. Television loves a good joke. Take the presidential candidates — please:
One will get Mexico to build a wall to rival the Great Wall of China in order to to keep Mexicans out of the U.S.
One who believes the pyramids are big tupperware containers that Joseph of Technicolor dreamcoat fame told the Egyptians to build in order to storing grain.
A candidate whose qualification for president is being fired for running a great company into the ground.
One who is certain that gay marriage “promises to weaken [marriage] as a child-rearing, values-conveying institution.”
Another who is “not sure we need a half a billion dollars for women’s health issues.”
Or the scientific simpleton who points out that “The climate’s been changing forever, and it will always continue to change. Does human activity contribute to it? Of course it does. We all contribute to it in one way or the other. By breathing we contribute to it.”
I could go on. But I won’t.
Yeah but, the media is left leaning so they need the extra Rs in the media to make up for it…
Get it?? Yeah, neither do I.
Circular logic is destroying this country…
Birth control causes abortions…war is peace…there is no mental illness… god is good and you can pray away the gay…
And that’s on a GOOD day.
7-3 is close?
Oh crap. That was a sentence from last week that I failed to delete. Thanks for catching it.
