We made it to a Friday, and there are lots of things you ought to know.
So, I called on Digby, who joined me in the first hour to talk about the election coming up on November 4, the right’s scare tactics, and a lot more.
For our Flashback Friday segment today, we had a change of plans. I told you yesterday that we’d listen to the World Premiere broadcast of Whiskeytown’s final album, including an interview with Ryan Adams. But there were technical difficulties with that, which I hope to be able to fix sometime soon.
Instead, we went back to Sept 18, 1995. Alanis Morissette‘s Jagged Little Pill was on fire. Because I had been one of her earliest, most ardent supporters, she wanted to come on the air with me. So, while she was in LA at the height of the her popularity, she came in and taped an interview. We listened to that and a discussion about the top album of 1995 today on our journey through my music radio past.
And with that, we put the period at the end of another week.
I’ll be back Monday with Howie Klein for the Steve Israel Hour and our countdown to election day. And we’ll see whatever the weekend brings, Radio or Not!
