Thankfully, Donald Trump waited until after my show to make his HUGE announcement that he said would change the face of the election. The thing we didn’t count on was how utterly self-aggrandizingly narcissisticly stupid it would be, and we expected it to be all those things. In a nutshell, Trump offered $5 million to the charity of President Obama’s choice if he’d release his college transcripts. Really? This guy has become a caricature of his already caricature-ish self.
If you want to waste a few precious minutes that you’ll never get back, you can watch his HUGE announcement here…
Or don’t waste your time. Instead, you might want to watch the trailer for the film Uprising, which will have its Florida premiere next week as part of the Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival. I spoke with the film’s director Fredrik Stanton on the show this morning, and found the 84-minute long documentary about Egypt’s revolution both fascinating and inspirational.
Instead of talking about Donald Trump’s insanity, how about focusing on things that matter! As a follow up to our conversation with BradBlog’s Brad Friedman on Monday, this morning I spoke with Huffington Post’s Dan Froomkin about his important piece on voting machine red flags: “Pro-Romney Firm’s Purchase Of Voting Machine Company Raises Alarms“.
Also stopping by to chat this morning – Amy Simon of She’s History and John Amato of Crooks and Liars.
Tomorrow on the show, Ben & Jerry’s Ben Cohen will tell us about the Stamp Stampede, Greg Basta will talk Occupy the Boardroom, and Maysoon Zayid will recap the Arab Comedy Festival and tell us what’s wrong with Ann Coulter.
