I know. The majority of people in this country think election day is on a Tuesday in November. But the uneducated, uninformed masses don’t understand primaries, recalls and special elections. On those fronts, today is a biggie!
So – we the informed – must work overtime to get out the vote.
Today is the day that Wisconsin can send the thieving, scheming, union-busting Scott Walker packing and put Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett into the governor’s office to being undoing Walker’s damage. Also at stake are a few State Senate seats that could tip the legislature to Democratic rule. Wisconsin has same-day voter registration, so there’s no reason not to vote!
It’s Primary Day in California – where they now have an open primary. So the top two vote-getters in each district go on the November ballot for the General Election. A couple of recommendations here: In the 2nd District, vacant due to Lynn Woolsey’s retirement – Norman Solomon is the man! And in the 25th, you have a chance to elect a true progressive in Lee Rogers, and get rid of one of the worst of the worst in Buck McKeon.
New Mexico and Montana also have elections today. New Mexico’s best is Eric Griego, and to fill Montanta’s one and only seat in the House, the clear choice is Franke Wilmer!…
