It is the under-observed holiday of Festivus, when we air our grievances and someone performs feats of strength. I’ve got plenty of grievances to air. This is still 2020, after all. Unfortunately, I have an entire 2020 full of grievances and more, but Donald Trump hijacked it all with his actions over the last 24 hours.
The feats of strength today will be of an economic nature, as Stephanie Kelton- author of The Deficit Myth: Modern Monetary Theory and the Birth of the People’s Economy — guests, and explains that we are not broke and can afford to help the citizens of this nation as we struggle through a pandemic and what’s looking more and more like a depression…
Since my grievances about 2020 were preempted by Trump’s vetoing the NDAA, threatening to veto the covid relief bill and pardoning crooks, thieves and war criminals last night (seriously), we’ll let Philip Markle air the 2020 grievances with his new video:
And while we’re on the subject of calling out 2020 for the shit show of a year it was, I’ll share this actual PSA for the Mental Health Coalition
And finally, here’s today’s show, YouTube version
Tomorrow’s & Friday’s shows will be new… but it’ll be audio only, as I can’t play music on YouTube. Since it’s Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, we’ll feature some nontraditional holiday music- some very funny, some just really good music. Hopefully those two hours will provide a nice soundtrack for your holiday celebration.
I’ll see you back here live Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday because someone’s got to do it!
