I’m pulling double duty again this week. As I continue talking about the things that matter the most (and trying to help the 99ers) on the Randi Rhodes Show each afternoon, I’m taking a little break during my show in the morning down memory lane.
In case you didn’t know my background, most of my career in radio was spent playing music on the air in Los Angeles. At the now-defunct-but-legendary KSCA FM, I got to interview dozens – if not hundreds – of my favorite artists. That continued at Channel 103.1 and WXRV/Boston.
I’ve been digitizing lots of these interviews (most with performances) recently, so I thought this week would be a good time to share some of them with you.
Yesterday, we heard from Graham Parker, Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders, Jackson Browne, Natalie Merchant and Randy Newman.
Today, listen for Sting, Patty Griffin, The Finn Brothers (Crowded House/Split Enz), and Ray Davies.
And don’t forget to come back this afternoon – 3-6pm ET – for The Randi Rhodes Show!
