On Friday, we got hit with a double dose of dis-information. We’re here to correct the record.
First, regarding climate change… My regular guest on Friday mornings is former Congressman John LeBoutillier, who I’ve been identifying as a reasonable Republican – one of the last of a dying breed. Alas, my claims of “reasonable” were dashed when John outed himself as a climate change denier!
This prompted lots of email over the weekend. Suffice it to say that the next time he’s on, I’ll make sure to have someone on with us who can teach him a thing or two about global warming.
The other bit that got some response on Friday was a clip I played from a House Judiciary Committee meeting in which Rep. Steve Cohen of Tennessee responded with incredulity at Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke’s contention that marijuana is the “scourge of the black community” and more!
I got an email from Raeford Davis, a former cop from North Charleston, SC who is now a spokesman for Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP), who was so incensed by the statements of Sheriff Clarke, he asked if he could come on the show. So, I invited him on for an informative discussion this morning!
After a new updated from Victoria Jones at the Talk Radio News Network, I got to relax by chatting with GottaLaff.. which always eases the stress level a bit.
