Oligarchy is the word of the day, brought to us by Thom Hartmann. He gives the subject his Hidden History treatment in his latest book, The Hidden History of American Oligarchy: Reclaiming Our Democracy from the Ruling Class.
But first, a few other things that are out of whack are on Nicole’s mind. Like the Rochester police pepper spraying a 9-year old girl who was handcuffed in the back seat of the squad car! Then the head of the police union claiming she wasn’t hurt! How about we handcuff him and spray pepper spray in his eyes and then let him tell me she wasn’t hurt. And Marjorie Taylor Green! How the hell is she even in Congress? The Republicans are more out of sorts over Liz Cheney voting to impeach the president who incited an insurrection, but have no problem with a tin foil hat wearing MAGAt.
She actually claimed this week that the California wildfires were started by “Space Jews with Lasers”. The brilliant Bruce W. Nelson, new friend of the show, wrote and sang a little ditty about it. At least we can still laugh!
