There’s a new film hitting theaters and on demand just in time for Labor Day weekend. It could be called “Everything You Wanted to Know About Socialism But Were Afraid To Ask.” The filmmakers opted for the equally perfect “The Big Scary ‘S’ Word“. We began with a couple of stories about the importance of August 30. Five years ago today, on this day, I had two cancerous tumors removed from my left lung, along with most of that lung! Today, still cancer-free, I’m officially considered cured!
And 13 years ago today, I met my husband David for the first time. The rest, as they say, is history.
And today, August 30, 2021, the US finally left Afghanistan, putting an end to our longest war. Good riddance, and thank you Mr. President!
