It’s another Thursday in lockdown and, as he does every Thursday, Howie Klein of DownWithTyranny.com and the Blue America PAC joins me. With the pandemic raging, the November Congressional elections have not been getting the attention they deserve. The mission of Blue America is in identifying and raising money for the best progressive candidates running. Today, we’ll update the revised primary calendar and run down the list of the Blue America-endorsed candidates who we must mobilize to elect!
Here’s the revised calendar, as much as I could put together, and the candidates who Blue America has endorsed:
- May 12: Nebraska Kara Eastman (NE),
- May 19: Oregon Mark Gamba’s primary in Oregon (100% vote by mail)
- May 22: Hawaii (now voting by mail)
- June 2: Delaware (new date), D.C., Indiana (new date) Jim Harper (IN) Maryland (new date) Mckayla Wilkes (MD), Montana Tom Winter (MT), New Mexico, Pennsylvania (new date), Rhode Island (new date), South Dakota
- June 6: Virgin Islands (caucuses)
- June 9: Georgia (new date) Lisa Ring (GA), West Virginia (new date)
- June 23: Kentucky (new date) SENATE RACE, New York (new date) Shaniyat Chowdhury (NY), Virginia congressional primaries (new date)
- June 30 – Oklahoma primary (cong races only) Tom Guild (OK), Colorado cong primary (SENATE RACE)
- July 7: New Jersey (postponed from June 2)
- July 11: Louisiana (postponed from April 4)
- July 14: Alabama Republican primary runoff for U.S. Senate seat (postponed from March 31), Maine (postponed from June 9) (SENATE RACE)
- Aug 4: Arizona — Eva Putzova (AZ), Missouri – Cori Bush (MO)
- 11: Connecticut primary (postponed from April 28)
- B.D.: Guam, Puerto Rico
- Week of Aug. 17: Democratic National Convention (postponed from July 13-16)
- Aug 18 – FL congressional primary
- 24-27: Republican National Convention
