As usual, we begin the show with something to hopefully make us laugh. The laughter is important, as the news is rather depressing these days. After a look at the latest in our dysfunctional country, we’ll speak with former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman who served 5 years in federal prison as an American political prisoner targeted by the Republican party. His book, Stealing Democracy: How the Political Assassination of a Governor Threatens Our America, is scheduled for release in June. Today, he checks in to discuss an issue of personal importance to him– the plight of people stuck in prisons during the Covid-19 pandemic.
