The Impeachment Inquiry is in full swing. But the first phase is investigatory. Depositions are being taken behind closed doors, as the Democrats get all their facts in order before transitioning into the hearing phase, which will be public and, I’m sure, televised. But the Republicans are getting antsy, going so far as to storm the SCIF where today’s closed-door testimony is under way.
Yesterday brought the most explosive allegations so far. We know about them because Bill Taylor, the highest ranking diplomatic official dealing with Ukraine, released his opening statement. It’s truly damning for Don the con. Since I know most people didn’t take the time to read it, I’ll do so today, editing out only redundant or overly technical passages, and doing away with many of the titles of the players, referring to them by their last names only.
