The end of the year is approaching.  It’s that dead week between Christmas and New Years that’s usually dead time in the media.  All of the “progressive talk” shows are playing repeats, except for the Randi Rhodes Show which has me!  So, be sure to tune in from 3-6 ET this afternoon as we continue our look back at 2012, today hitting on the War on Women.  She’s History‘s Amy Simon will join in with some highlights.

We’re also on top of whatever news is being made.  Right now, President Obama and the Senate is returning to DC to try to put together some sort of deal to avert the sequester (the so-called “fiscal cliff).  I’ll speak with the brilliant Dean Baker who’ll explain that it’s not a cliff at all, and certainly not the end of the world if no deal is made by Tuesday…

And of course, we’ll be taking your calls at 866-87-RANDI (866-877-2634).

Before heading up to Randi’s studio, I’ll do my own show, live from 10-noon ET, right here at RadioOrNot.com.  In addition to continuing our year in review, I’ll speak with Jason Leopold of Truthout, who’s been working his way through documents released via FOIA requests about the Occupy movement, and comedian/actress Maysoon Zayid will tell us of her stalker struggles and more.

Talk to you in a bit… and as always, if you can’t join in for the live show, we’ll post the podcast this afternoon!
