I didn't get any "Gary Johnson"s, so we've got that going for us. When I asked the question today, "Who Are You Voting For, and Why?" I knew I'd get a variety of answers. But I do admit to being surprised by the guy who claimed to be a Bernie supporter voting for Trump as a way of supporting Bernie. I only called one person an idiot today, and that was him. I have been thinking about the answers and the passion from those who are voting for Jill Stein. Some people will - and we know that. I am just [...]
On today's BradCast, guest host Nicole Sandler of Radio Or Not chats with Ari Berman, author of Give Us the Ballot: The Modern Struggle for Voting Rights in America, who explains that many of the problems voters experienced Tuesday in Arizona are traced directly back to the Supreme Court’s gutting of the Voting Rights Act. He wrote about that at The Nation. Of course, he didn't absolve Maricopa County Recorder Helen Purcell for her decision to reduce the number of polling places from 211 to 60. That action and the chaos that ensued prompted attorney Adrian Fontes to challenge her for [...]
Nicole Sandler recaps last night's "Western Tuesday" primaries as the tide seems to be turning for Bernie Sanders with two YUUUGE wins last night. We'll open the phones today at 954-889-6410 or via Skype at nicolesandler to talk about voting and the problems in Arizona too.

The Los Angeles Times letter to the editor below illustrates the stark differences between Democrats and Republicans. My frustration, anxiety, and concern have grown recently as the number of polls showing the chances of a GOP Senate takeover have increased. If Dems and Independents don't get their asses to the polls, those predictions will become a reality. And that reality will spawn more realities, scary ones, that will make the mess this country is in now look like paradise. So before deciding to sit out the elections in November, please think again: Like what happened to abortion clinics in Texas? Then don't vote. [...]
And after you witness an instructor get his brains blown out by a 9-year old shooting an Uzi sub machine gun, you can eat a giant, juicy burger. Mmmmm. This is what we've apparently come to. Welcome to America. The website for Bullets & Burgers was down this morning. I expected either to see an apology and notice that children would no longer be able to shoot these lethal weapons - or a memorial to the now-dead instructor, Charles Vacca. Sadly, the website is now back up - with pictures of all the weapons that you can go there to [...]
That's what you do after a big victory, right? I still remember one year when I took my daughter to Disney World here in Florida. She couldn't have been older than six. On our way to park, we learned that day was "Gay Day" - an annual event. My first thought was "cool, this could be a learning experience". Except that my daughter was not at all fazed by the site of two men or two women holding hands. She had never been taught that there was anything wrong with that! This weekend, we're headed back to Disney World. [...]
Today is Tuesday-- primary day in Michigan. If you live in Michigan's 8th District, I hope you wrote in the name of Lance Enderle for Congress. We'll know by this time tomorrow whether or not the people of Michigan's 8th will actually have a Democrat on the ballot. But I guess it doesn't matter to Ed Schultz if there are any Democrats on the ballot where he's registered to vote (is it North Dakota, Minnesota or NY these days?), as he proclaimed on Friday that he won't be voting in the midterm election. Actually, I hadn't heard this until a [...]
