Today is my final show before taking some time off for surgery and recuperation. I honestly can't remember the last time I took an extended period of time off. I usually love Fridays. They mean the weekend is here. But when you're dealing with medical uncertainty, it's another 48 hours in a dead zone. Nothing will happen until Monday. I was going to be here yesterday. I really was. But the visit with the pulmonologist shook me out of my optimistic outlook and scared the shit out of me.
