Many of us can do two things at the same time, like, say, walk and chew gum. It takes practice, but we've managed to master that skill. So it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that we Bernie supporters can celebrate that a woman, for the first time ever, is our presidential nominee while still disagreeing with her policies. Yes, like it or not, Hillary Clinton is the presumptive Democratic nominee; a woman can finally claim that victory and that's a 'uuuuge deal. While I've never been an identity voter or even a single issue voter, I fully and enthusiastically acknowledge [...]
Things didn't go as well as we had hoped last night, but the political revolution continues. This morning, Nicole Sandler opens the phones to talk with her listeners - from the Bernie or Busters to those who say we must unify to defeat Trump . Deborah Newell became a citizen to be able to vote for Bernie Sanders, and joins in today to talk about the road forward.
Today, Nicole Sandler invites her listeners down to the swampy southland known as Florida (FloriDUH to most of us). Deborah Newell joins in for our weekly segment poking fun at FloriDUH, Sanders delegate to the DNC from Palm Beach County, Hillary Keyes, will fill us in on the process and what happens next. And Nicole pulls out a blast from the past - a 2007 interview with Debbie Wasserman Schultz to show how long she's been at odds with the (soon to be former?) DNC Chair.
Nicole Sandler reacts to Hillary Clinton's assertion that she "will be the nominee for my party, that is already done in effect, there is no way that I won't be" and invites listeners to weigh. In the first hour, Portia Boulger of Women for Bernie and an At-Large Delegate to the DNC returns. In hour two Sean Shealy explains why he posted a story all about Bill Clinton’s ties to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, and why he believes that story will be the basis of Trump’s attacks on Hillary.
Nicole Sandler covers the ongoing "he said, she said" about the NV Democratic convention on Saturday, yesterday's OR & KY primaries, and the rest of the madness surrounding the 2016 presidential campaign with today's guests Deborah Newell and Seth Abramson.
Today, Nicole Sandler explains why being a single-issue voter is wrong with some help from Kate Renta, a victim of domestic gun violence featured in the new Brave New Films documentary, "Making a Killing." Plus it's @GottaLaff Tuesday, when we'll talk #BernieOrBust #orNot, party politics, banana art and more!
I'm a lifelong Democrat (sadly, that may change, we'll see) and an enthusiastic Bernie Sanders supporter. For the past year I've been asked repeatedly, "Will you vote for Hillary Clinton if she's the Democratic nominee?" And for the past year I've answered yes. Over and over and over again. Yes, yes yes. However...A year ago, I hadn't yet encountered the continual onslaught of abuse, baiting, smears, and harassment on social media by Hillary supporters. I hadn't yet observed the former Secretary of State's campaign tactics, positions (many have been contradictory, misleading, or obfuscatory). I hadn't yet watched her debates with Senator Sanders. [...]
Today, Nicole Sandler discusses "kismet" - how some things are meant to be. It's on that theory that she again pushes back on the media narrative calling for Bernie Sanders to drop out! Bob Kincaid of the Head On Radio Network tells us about the candidates' stances on coal and mountaintop removal mining (and the Clinton controversy surrounding it). And it's Gliberal Goddess Tuesday as @GottaLaff and Amy Simon join in for hour two!
Today, Nicole Sandler asks her listeners to explain why they're "Bernie or Bust", will vote for Hillary Clinton if she's the nominee, or their other ideas. Phone lines are open at 954-889-6410, or Skype to nicolesandler.
Nicole Sandler invokes the words of the founder of the Moral Mondays movement, Rev. Dr. William Barber in explaining why it's important for Bernie Sanders to keep going. It's the same principle that's giving us Harriet Tubman on the $20! Professor and author Harvey J. Kaye and Professor and author Seth Abramson guest today.
