got balls

Ju Suis 12 year old boys! Yes, we’re having fun with balls.

Honestly, I don’t care about football and care even less about “deflategate”. But I can snicker at the word “balls” with the best of my fellow juveniles.

In fact, I had so much fun laughing at the soft balls, that I wasted an inordinate amount of time this morning putting together a Tom Brady/Schweddy Balls mashup for today’s show… and wasted even more time after the show turning it into a YouTube video. So, enjoy, and share liberally!

In between the giggles, we did have a little bit of serious talk.. Harvey J. Kaye, author of The Fight for The Four Freedoms: What Made FDR and the Greatest Generation Truly Great  joined me for one last look at this year’s State of the Union address, and the wistful what ifs that naturally followed!

As we do each Friday morning, we went into Flashback Friday mode in the second hour. Today, I pulled from my archives an interview and performance from August 1994 with Sheryl Crow. Her debut album, Tuesday Night Music Club, had come out not too long before, and she joined me on the air one month after the radio station fm 101.9 hit the air in Los Angeles.

Ahh, the memories…

Have a great weekend. We’ll be back Monday to take on a whole new week, radio or not!
