I won’t be doing my show tonight. I was all set with a great program lined up, and then the power went out. What is this, Iraq?
Seriously, my studio is in my home in Miami. We pay a fortune to Florida Power & Light for the privilege of having electricity. But as happens all-too-often, especially in the summer when the mercury tops 96 degrees (like today), the power just goes poof.
I was in the studio, reading and getting ready for the show, and *pop*… off it went. When I called FPL, I was told that 155 households were affected — a main line was down, and the power would be back on by 6:30.
Yeah, right… It’s 6pm now and I got a robo call from FPL a few minutes ago saying they had a technician on the scene determining the cause, and would keep me posted until 10pm.
So, thanks to Kenny Pick and company for filling in for me tonight, and I’ll talk to you tomorrow!
I listened to the sofloradio.com link to hear what program was rerun. It was the June 24 show based on the date the green news report gave and Nicole mentioning taking her daughter to a “Hands across the Sand” no drilling protest in the Talk radio news segment.
In the interview with John Amato Nicole mentioned libertarians being worse than republicans because of wanting no government. I agree with Nicole here. Libertarians try to co-opt support of liberals or progressives with support of legalizing drugs and prostitution. nopom.info is a web site that tries to continue the co-opting of liberal and progressive support that libertarians started by promising everyone free necessities of life and only needing to pay for luxury goods and services without any taxes ever. The determination of what’s a luxury or a necessity is determined by self-selecting ‘payers’ who assign temporary money to, or move it between, accounts in a central computer system. These payers are basically mediators in a barter economy that is a better name than nopom (no physical object money-based economic system). The site is maintained by a woman on the autism spectrum in South Florida who was probably embittered against any form of coercion by being mistakenly committed to a psychiatric hospital. She also supports Ron Paul and is very much against a woman’s right to choose abortion particularly being forced to pay for it by way of family planning services government contracts held by Planned Parenthood. Opposition to coercion is a libertarian axiom.
A RACE LETTER TO WHITE AMERICA AND
TO ANY AMERICAN WHO IS NOT WHITE.
This letter serves notice to ALL Americans who are emotionally disturbed that THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA legitimately elected a black man to the presidency. ( That’s putting it politely.) We understand that you are angry.
Most of you are white Americans. Obviously there are black Americans that also belong to this group. ( Probably some Hispanic, Asian, etc. Americans as well.)
Those Americans ( black, white and in between ) who witnessed the previous presidential administration and then tasked themselves to elect President Obama, did so because they love their country as ALL Americans do.
WE IMPLORE
That the key words are “ALL Americans”.
Though you may hate us and these words will likely be of no consequence to you,
WE ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU ARE OUR FELLOW AMERICANS.
WE MEAN YOU NO HARM.
Our laws and rights are meant for All Americans equally.
Our president is a constitutional scholar. ( black or white.)
His IQ is obvious. ( He is both black and white, and he belongs to THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.) He is a phenomenal conduit to our country’s great future.
He has been sworn to the wellbeing of “WE THE PEOPLE“, given the money soaked political system that he must navigate.
“WE” MEANS ALL Americans high and low. IT IS OUR CONSTITUTION.
We must continuously prepare our country for the future for ALL Americans.
Though you may hate the president and those of us who are progressive,
WE INSIST that our country must invest in its most valuable resource – Americans.
EVERY American must be kept healthy and educated. This simple investment in ourselves must proceed. ( It should be painfully clear that if tens of billions of dollars can simply go missing in Iraq during the previous administration, surely we can invest in every American to the benefit of “WE THE PEOPLE”.)
The wealthy will remain wealthy and prosper further as the rising tide lifts all vessels.
THE CONSTITUION OF OUR GREAT COUNTRY IS THE PRIDE AND PROTECTION FOR ALL AMERICANS. ENSHRINED IN IT THAT ALL AMERICANS HAVE EQUAL WORTH

We do not return your hate of us.
However, we are determined not to let you harm or deprive the totality of “WE THE PEOPLE”
