Time debate poll

Click on the graphic above and you’ll find it takes you to Time.com’s survey on last night’s Democratic Debate. Out of the 120,000+ people who clicked there to take part in their survey, a whopping 86% said Bernie Sanders won the debate last night.

Interestingly enough, those are close to the margins in the final votes among members of DFA and MoveOn when asked which candidate those organizations should endorse.

That said, Bernie was on fire last night. We spent most of today’s show recapping last night’s festivities. As today is Monday, Joel Silberman joined in.

In the second hour of today’s show, I had a conversation with Vagif G. Sharifoveditor-in-chief of Trend News Agency based in oil rich country Azerbaijan.

I’m always interested in talking with people in other parts of the world, especially in regions that get little news coverage over here, so I was excited when I made contact with a journalist who focuses on oil and energy in Central Asia. Sadly, I have a feeling that his communications are likely monitored, as his description of Azerbaijan and its government is a far cry from this description from Wikipedia.  Regardless, it was a fascinating conversation.

Tomorrow, the one and only Blue Gal/Fran joins in, and it’s the first gathering of the Gliberal Goddesses for 2016, radio or not…

PS As promised, here’s a good explainer of Bernie’s Medicare for All Healthcare plan as released yesterday….
