  Just how much constitutes a living wage? Minimum wage certainly doesn't cut it.  Since 2009, the federal minimum wage has stood at $7.25 an hour - though some states pay less and a few paid more.   But if you were paid the federal minimum and were lucky enough to get 40 hours of work a week, you'd gross a whopping $290 for that week's work... and if you never took a day off, you'd gross an annual income of $15,080. Dueling Hearings and Day 71 of the Worst Environmental Disaster in History

Welcome to Tuesday, Day 71 of the BP disaster in the Gulf.  As if that's not enough, there's lots of other news to talk about today. It's also Day 2 of the Elena Kagan Supreme Court confirmation hearings. And General Petraeus was at his own hearing, getting confirmed by the Senate Armed Service Committee as the next commander of U.S. and foreign forces in Afghanistan.
