Podcast: Play in new window

I’m still trying to figure out how making sure that all Americans have access to affordable health care will cost us our freedom.  Even though I spend most of yesterday’s Randi Rhodes Show asking for an explanation, none was forthcoming from the few courageous right wingers who dared call in to the show.  I’ll ask again today.  You never know!  (Randi will return tomorrow)

On my show this morning, I spoke with Dr. Margaret Flowers, noted single payer healthcare advocate, spokesperson for Physicians for a National Health Program, who sits on the board of Healthcare-Now, is on the October2011.org steering committee, and is co-director of It’s Our Economy.  I’ve been so busy basking in the glory of the good things about the Affordable Care Act that I’ve neglected its critics on the left – and I’m one of them too!  So, Margaret Flowers brought me a bit down to earth…

I also had a great conversation with the always funny and insightful Lizz Winstead, author of Lizz Free or Die, about life, motherhood (or not), tv, radio, music and lots more…

OK.. I’m heading up to West Palm Beach for one more fill-in for Randi, where I’ll be joined by whistleblower Sibel Edmonds and AlterNet’s Adele Stan.  Talk to you at 3pm ET… listen live at randirhodes.com.
