More useless wastes of space are leaving the US Congress, but I thought I’d shine a light on these two idiots today to say “good riddance” once and for all, and may we never be subject to their batshit craziness ever again!
Their parting shots were nothing less than you’d expect from two such idiotic specimens of human excrement.
Michele Bachmann even admitted that at the White House holiday party (yes, I called it a holiday party), she told President Obama that he needs to bomb Iran, and was insulted when he told her “It’s not that simple, Michele”.
As for Tom Coburn, Dr. No said a big fat NO to those 22 pesky veterans who commit suicide every day by putting a hold on the Clay Hart Suicide Prevention for Veterans Act. This moron actually placed a hold on a bill that would provide immediate help for suicidal veterans! It doesn’t get any slimier than that. Rachel Maddow was equally disgusted.
Ugh. Good Riddance doesn’t say it strongly enough.
Thankfully we’re ridding ourselves of some of the worst of the worst from both sides of the aisle. And we’re retaining some of the best of the best.
Today, we welcomed one of the good guys to the show – Congressman Mark Pocan, who represents Wisconsin’s 2nd district. He’s against the TPP and Fast Track, against Fracking and the Keystone XL pipeline. And, as Howie Klein reminded me, got more votes than any other Democrat who ran for Congress this year AND has the #1 most progressive vote score! He was just a freshman in the session of Congress that’s just now wrapping up. Watch out for Mr. Sophomore!
In the second hour, I put off bringing on the Gliberal Goddesses until we could hear Elizabeth Warren’s Senate floor speech from Friday, during which she called out Citigroup and the revolving door between Congressional and Wall Street offices. In a word, it was brilliant!
In case you missed her NPR interview yesterday during which she insisted “I am not running for President,” but didn’t say “I won’t be running” or anything like that, just click here and smile! And be sure to tune in on Thursday morning to hear the people from Ready for Warren who are doing everything possible to get her to run!
