Lt. Dan Choi and Nicole Sandler

We witnessed history this morning, as President Obama asserted that all men and women are created equal, and signed the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell into Law!

As I write this post (delayed because I was watching the ceremony live), I’m playing back my interview with Lt. Dan Choi, recorded this summer at Netroots Nation.

I have no guests booked for this morning’s show, as I knew we’d be celebrating this huge step forward for civil rights.

I’m not sure what else today’s show will bring… we’ll see what happens over the next couple of hours.  You can listen live, or come back later for the podcast…

This afternoon on the Randi Rhodes Show, I’ll be joined by John Nichols of The Nation and his annual “Most Valuable Progressives” of 2010….  Plus, with all of the progress made in the lame duck session, there are some people left behind: The DREAM Act kids and the 99ers.

***The show got quite busy!  Kim Doyle Wille joined in to talk about the plight of the 99ers.  I’ll have her on the Randi Rhodes Show one day this week or next. In the meantime, check out her petition here.

And Tim Karr of FreePress.net and SaveTheInternet.com came back on to talk about yesterday’s terrible FCC vote and the passage of FAKE Net Neutrality.
