Call out the instigators
Because there’s something in the air
We’ve got to get together sooner or later
Because the revolution’s here, and you know it’s right
And you know that it’s right

We have got to get it together
We have got to get it together now

Last night after dinner, I clicked the streaming link to see what’s happening at the Occupy Wall Street movement just in time to see Michael Moore speaking to the crowd.  I played some of his speech on the show this morning, and found the video for those of you who did not tune in to see it:

Lock up the streets and houses
Because there’s something in the air
We’ve got to get together sooner or later
Because the revolution’s here, and you know it’s right
And you know that it’s right

We have got to get it together
We have got to get it together now

This morning, I spoke with Jesse LaGreca – known to many of Daily Kos readers as Ministry of Truth – who’s been at Liberty Square (Zuccotti Park) since day three of the occupation.  He set the scene for us, and answered my myriad of questions about what’s happening down there.  Read his accounts of how Fox is reporting on the occupation and more as he liveblogs the occupation.

You can follow him on twitter (@JesseLaGreca) and email him at MinistryofTruth@live.com.

Of course, you can help the protesters by following Jesse’s instructions:

1. Get this message out there. Can we do it? YES WE CAN!2.    Use the twitter hashtags #OccupyWallStreet and follow on facebook and twitter accounts related to the ongoing protests. Help put this video on your facebook pageand any other social media that you use. Make it viral.

3.    Make a donation to WeAreTheOther99%’s media fund. They need funding to stay active, and without huge corporate interests backing us up like the Teabaggers have, the only way this works is with your small donations.

4.   Go to OccupyWallSt.org and make a donation to our General Fund to support the ongoing protests.

5.   Get the word out about these protests of Wall Street’s greed to everyone you know. Raise awareness, even if it is via word of mouth, every little bit helps.

GottaLaff joined in from The Political Carnival as she does every Tuesday morning, to dish on the news.  We got to a few of these stories today:

Hand out the arms and ammo**
We’re going to blast our way through here
We’ve got to get together sooner or later
Because the revolution’s here, and you know it’s right
And you know that it’s right

We have got to get it together
We have got to get it together
Now

** Although I agree with most of the sentiment of Thunderclap Newman’s “Something in the Air” , I disagree with the “arms and ammo” part.  This must be a peaceful, non-violent “revolution”… No arms or ammo necessary.**
