Last night’s first one-on-one debate between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton was certainly better than any of the GOP shit shows we’ve been subjected to this election season, but Hillary Clinton’s “artful smear” comment threatened to change the tenor of the whole debate. Thankfully, Bernie Sanders didn’t stoop to her level.
For the most part, it was a respectful debate covering a lot of important ground – apart from the sparring over what constitutes a real progressive.
This morning, Julianna Forlano returned to the show to talk about the ever-tightening race between Sanders and Clinton.
There’s a new Quinnipiac poll out this morning that shows Bernie Sanders has effectively wiped out Hillary Clinton’s national lead. In their Dec. 22 survey, Clinton led Sanders nationally by 61-30. Today it’s a statistical dead heat at 44-42! Read it for yourself here.
